Title: Software Quality Assurance (SQA)

Location: Greater Newton, MA area

Job Type: 4 mo+ Contract opportunity

Our client is seeking Software Quality Assurance (SQA) contractors to join their team for an immediate project. This is an onsite role in the Newton MA area, requiring candidates to work 5 days a week onsite. The contract runs through the end of January, with the possibility of extension depending on project needs.

Project Overview: This role focuses on software and hardware quality testing for connected devices, such as robotics, consumer electronics, or IoT products.

The ideal candidate will have experience in software quality testing for these types of products and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform software and hardware quality assurance testing for connected devices.

Collaborate with a small, fast-paced team to ensure high-quality product delivery.

Work methodically and with attention to detail to troubleshoot and solve problems.

Communicate complex technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical team members.

Contribute to the overall product quality and launch success.

Requirements:

0-2 years of experience in SQA testing, ideally for consumer products.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

Familiarity with Software Development and Testing Life Cycles.

Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as O-Scopes and Digital Multimeters.

Experience with Defect Tracking Systems and Test Case Management Tools is a plus.

Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, C++, SQL, or JavaScript is a bonus.

Familiarity with Arduino and/or MatLab is a bonus
